With me, the issue isn't about finding time to write but rather what to write. I think I have found my group but I can't be sure.
Making a decision whether to write about emerging or at-risk readers are two very different leagues of teaching.
Reading through the literature, I'm finding what really speaks to me are the at-risk readers and what translates into my Israeli experience as the 'reading recovery group'. I have loads of experience on that. It is the slice of reading that never fully gets addressed in my work, so hopefully, I will work on writing this issue.
With that said, I think I made incremental progress on the first section slowly describing who is an at-risk learner and I realized there is much more for me left to read.
My plan for tomorrow is to:
1. continue reading and writing about who is an at-risk reader contextualizing it as much as possible in the EFL/ESL corresponding arenas.
2. continue to the next section of this unit.
There is so much left to be discovered about this topic. Writing is empowering and finding out more info is equally empowering!
Any reading teachers out there with specific experience teaching this particular group?
