I am at a period of time when I am easily distracted. There is a lot going on right now in my life even though summer vacation has just started. For some strange reason, I don't feel there was a proper closure regarding the school year and my work as an ESL teacher.
I've learned to accept these periods as learning thumps that can create big waves if I gratefuly accept the long(ish) periods of not formally writing. Inevitably I just wait when the time is right; I am not the kind of person to slack off too much for I know I'll miss writing and thinking over the computer.
My advice to all you who are in a slump for watever reason - Don't hit your head with a bat. If you are that motivated and care enough about your writing, you'll get back to it, in your own time.
