Having a Writer Plan

I'm the kind of writer that likes to sniff everything from children's writing to magazine writing. In the last two months or so, I've written a bit of pretty much everything including a YA adult short fiction book. Most of these pieces are now being circulated. I want to keep pieces circulating. This means cointinually writing. You just never know when an acceptance will come in.

Before we decided to move to the States, I had more time on my hands. Now I am extremely practical trying to incorporate a writer plan that involves:

1.sending resumes and cover letters for hire
2.researching potential educational publishers
3.revising and writing

Notice I also wrote writing. Even though I don't have a lot of time now on my hands (due to our impending move to the USA) I must fit in some writing time. This also involves editing. My plan is self-promotional: I upgrade my cover and resume letters, research here and there educational publishers and bravely sent them out saying a small prayer. Recently, Otter sent me links to standards for writing workbooks. (I live in Israel and the standards here were created with the Israeli student in mind)

I'm still looking to crack into the educational markets. I'm hoping G-d will still be looking out for me. Even if I had at least one freelance writing assignment, I will be taken more seriously than just 'ah another cover letter and resume' potential writer on some office desk.

On another note, I got an email from a major educational publisher who encouraged me to revise my book proposal on helping reluctant readers. And I have one poem coming out in the Goodness ezine. More details to follow. I continue to write for suite and practice my writing skills. I'm looking for new ways to reinvent the "new Teacher Support" and these thinking and writing skills are good everywhere.

I say a prayer to G-d to keep me going, on writing wings.

How on earth do you have time to actively pursue your writing plan, work, and keep up with family?! This year I'm working (very) part-time and I have trouble balancing the marketing aspect with actually getting some writing done, as well as balancing family. Your plan is very similar to my plan, and it seems like very slow going! Right now I think I need to get some more writing done, so I have more to send out. Yes, I do have a few things circulating, and that involves a wait-time.

Congratulations on the poetry published and the note from a publisher.
I'd like to hear more about your new teacher support.
