Freelance Writing Tips for Newbies and Beyond

Deborah Ng is now hosting a series of weekend bloggers who discuss important topics for freelancers. This last post by Jeff Pfaller has particularly caught my eye and has certainly taught me a few important things such as writing a contract, keeping a track of email correspondence via 'blind copy' and many others. This post will be linked on her blog soon, so I hope to be able to make an appropriate link in the future.

Marcia Yudkin has a website that has all the FAQ's for newbie writers. Her explanations are very clear about which rights are best for writers, what should a query consist of and agents. According to Marcia, work-for-hire jobs lay at the bottom of the ladder in terms of writer rights, but again, it depends on practicality and how much you want to market yourself and your work again.

At each stage of my writer growth, I'm learning more tricks and tips of the trade helping me bring my writing career to the next level.

Nice blog you have here. I write quite regularly on the net. I am a freelance writer who like to write on a variety of subjects. But how well are you in terms of getting revenue from your postings? I suggest you try HubPages
