It was just what the doctor ordered. Haim urged me to go to Kibbutz Yiron, a 35 minute drive away from our kibbutz way up in the Galiee mountains, for a few hours of workshops including Laughing and yoga and a bioenergy workshop.
Despite the fact that everybody looked familiar, I ate breakfast and spoke English (!) with Sharon, another teacher from the school I work.
The laughing workshop was a lot of fun, releasing happy hormones, a good kick-off to start the 2.5 week Passover vacation.
Then the real magic happened with the bio-genergy workshop. In pairs, we were instructed to be healers and recievers of energies. Inutitively I found my own energy channel. It took me a some time to focus my breathing from the busy and intense week. My partner readily received the treatement and I felt huge spouts of warmth pouring from all over. The electro-magnetic field was charged after that. I felt some kind of connection, elemental grounding to mother-nature and some kind of healing took place. I could feel it. My partner and I both attested to it in the open forum.
I'm so glad I went. It was however energy draining so I ended up sleeping for 3.5 hours to rest off especialy after the exhuasting trip to the US embassy in Tel Aviv (see previous posting) Much later that night, I was able to rethink thorugh articles for suite101. (Thank you Hubby! I love you...)
I realized I have the power to heal myself and this is the most enlightening thought of it all. Since I was so inspired by this event, I decided to write a short story about it.
Writers especially need to step aside from the written word in order to revive them again by participating in such workshops. Healing is an important part of the process and I believe that everybody has the power to heal themselves.
Now I'm writing, I'm already feeling the results!
